When I look back on the life I’ve lead it occurred to me
 I’ve always been alone even when I’ve lived with someone else
 I’ve been somewhere else in my head
And now I know why that is I’m a runaway
 I’m a runaway I’m a runaway that’s what I am
 And I’ll run my whole life if I can cause it’s easer being a runaway
 Than being hurt again and again I can run away with my dreams
 And they’ll let me be who I am not how someone else
Sees me in there dreams I can run away from my troubles
 At least for awhile but the sad thing is I’ve been running for so long
 I got no home to run back to anymore
